FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS Q&A

HOW DO I BOOK A PRIVATE CONSULTATION AND WHAT DOES IT COST?

The best way to start the process of booking a private consultation is to schedule a FREE 15 Minute Discovery Call by clicking on the link at the top of this page. During this Discovery Call, Natalie will direct you to the most appropriate service. Consultations average about $110 per hour.

HOW DO I KNOW THAT ON COURSE EQUINE NUTRITION, LLC IS THE RIGHT EQUINE NUTRITIONIST FOR ME?

OCEN appreciates that you know your horse best, but you also know that it takes a village to optimize your horse's health. You've already scheduled the vet, farrier, saddle fitter, equine dentist, massage therapist, and behavioralist. If you have never worked with a nutritionist before, you likely have a lot of questions. You can schedule a FREE 15 Minute Discovery Call to meet Natalie, discuss your needs, and determine if it's a great fit!

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST PRIVATE CONSULT?

In order to prepare for the first month's consult, please send Natalie pictures of your horse from all sides along with a full description of the current diet plan including pasture, forage, feed and supplement details. Weights, not volumes, are best when sending forage and feed details.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BASIC AND PRO 3 MONTH GUIDED NUTRITION PRACTICE?

The only difference between BASIC and PRO is the "Stop Guessing & Start Gloating Care Package" which includes weight tapes, a digital scale, a forage testing kit, prepaid fecal egg count kit, and OCEN swag!

LOOKING FOR JUST THE RIGHT SUPPLEMENT? HAVING A HARD TIME DECIDING WHICH IS BEST?

It's easy to become overwhelmed and lose confidence when finding the right feed or supplement for your unique horse and their special needs. After 15 years in the industry visiting thousands of feed rooms, OCEN has developed a simple, strategic method that focuses your supplement decisions, saving time, money, and stress. Book a FREE 15 Minute Discovery Call to determine if one of OCEN's services can help!

IS THERE A RESULTS GUARANTEE FOR PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS?

On Course Equine Nutrition can not guarantee the performance or efficacy of any diet plan recommended due to variation in horses, training, environment, products and management including quality or quantity of turnout, forage, feed or unregulated supplements. Therefore, there are no refunds once consultation has started.

"HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT FEEDS & SUPPLEMENTS FOR YOUR HORSE" COURSE Q&A

HOW LONG IS THE ON COURSE EQUINE NUTRITION WEBINAR SERIES AND HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT REQUIRE EACH WEEK?

OCEN offers an on-demand webinar series broken into five 60 minute lectures drip-fed over three weeks. Here's how it works. First, register under the EDUCATION tab when you're ready to start the course. Expect the first lecture to drop into your email inbox immediately. The rest of the lectures arrive in your inbox over the course of three weeks. You'll learn industry tricks and powerful tips that will give you confidence and purpose for a lifetime of feeding horses!

WHAT DOES THE WEBINAR SERIES COST AND HOW DO I PAY?

The cost of the webinar series breaks down to under $30 per lecture! I don't know about you, but my group riding lessons cost more than that every week! What you learn helps you streamline your feed room which saves on hay, feed and supplements. OCEN's goal is to save you $365 per horse per year giving you more money to spend on tack and horse shows. Payment is processed through PayPal (no account necessary).

IS THERE HOMEWORK FOR THE ON COURSE EQUINE NUTRITION WEBINAR SERIES?

Yes. Natalie will email you worksheets along with each lecture to help you "digest" the information presented. The idea behind each worksheet is to help you apply the information to your own region, to what's available in your local feed stores, and how you choose to manage your horses. The homework is not required, but is tremendously helpful towards making you the smartest feeder at the barn!

IS THERE CERTIFICATION FOR THE ON COURSE EQUINE NUTRITION WEBINAR SERIES?

Participants that complete all five webinar lectures plus worksheet will be sent a certificate of completion. Many organizations offer continuing education credits (i.e. USDF), so this certificate will help you gain those credits!

ARE REFUNDS AVAILABLE FOR THE ON COURSE EQUINE NUTRITION WEBINAR SERIES OR PRIVATE CONSULTING SERVICES?

Refunds for the webinar series are easy to do up until the date of the first lecture. However, after the first lecture, you can email Natalie your feedback and request a refund to be returned at the end of that month's webinar series. There is a $25 non-refundable fee for cancelling.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE "CHOOSING THE RIGHT FEEDS & SUPPLEMENTS FOR MY HORSE" ON COURSE EQUINE NUTRITION WEBINAR SERIES.

I'm so glad you asked! Education is the core of our business. Simply go to the EDUCATION tab at the top of the page and click "LEARN MORE". Details for the course are outlined there. You can click "REGISTER & PAY" straight from there. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still pay as a guest with a credit card. You can also contact OCEN for alternatives such as Venmo or Check.
