Equine podiatry is the scientific study of the horse hoof- it's form, function and prevention or treatment of disease. Dr. Karen Blake has followed her passion in the realm of equine veterinary practice to become an equine podiatry specialist based out of Bend Equine Medical Center (Oregon). In this presentation you will learn to identify external hoof conditions and conformational traits in order to prevent unsoundness. You will also learn about new novel therapies for challenges of the hoof such as laminitis, navicular disease, and so much more!
